#UltheraThermage #FaceSuitedForUlthera #FaceSuitedForThermage

Hello, this is Dr. Cho Young-min.

Truly, thankfully,

Because procedures have become so, so, so, so numerous lately

I don't have nearly enough time to write at my PC....

So, for the first time in a while, I'm squeezing in a moment while a patient's numbing cream is taking effect to write this post.

Just today, I received the same question twice.

Should I get Ulthera? Or Thermage?

It is exactly this question.

Depending on how you answer here,

you can tell the depth of expertise of that clinic's director.

Typically,

Lots of facial fat: Ulthera

Little facial fat: Thermage

Many people know it as that, and there are probably clinics that give only that kind of answer.

If they say that, they are third-rate.

It is highly likely to be the intersection of dumping-price, factory-style, and inexperienced salaried directors.

The only people who don't need Thermage are those who have only just had Thermage done.

For anyone, the more Thermage you have,

It is a procedure that is good no matter what.

Does telling someone with a lot of facial fat to skip Thermage and get Ulthera mean giving up on skin elasticity?

If you told a dermatologist to perform only one procedure for the rest of their life,

More than 90% would answer Thermage.

And if you have little facial fat, should you not get Ulthera?

Ulthera has two main functions.

creates coagulation points in the SMAS layer to provide lifting and strengthening of the retaining ligaments, and

It is breaking down excess fat. (It also has a partial skin-tightening effect, but I will leave that out of this article.)

Even without facial fat, the retaining ligaments weakened by aging
still need to be strengthened.

It's just that with little facial fat, fewer Ulthera shots are needed, but an appropriate number of shots is still necessary.

Of course, if you are choosing within a limited budget,

As above, I can recommend just one of them depending on whether there is a lot or little facial fat, but

I would advise you to steer clear of clinics that mechanically classify patients by facial fat.

To summarize,

Everyone needs Thermage.

Ulthera is also needed to strengthen the retaining ligaments weakened by aging.

Differences in facial fat only mean differences in the number of Ulthera shots

That doesn't mean Ulthera isn't needed!

It is.

I hope this was helpful!
