Hello. This is Dr. Cho Young-min.
I spent the end of the year and the start of the new year doing lifting treatments, so busy that I could hardly breathe(?).
Among those who come in for lifting, quite a few
I have found that many people are worried about having a buffalo hump.
Most people said they did not even know this could be removed in the first place..
Some people even said this had been a lifelong wish of theirs 😢
There was also a patient who came for facial Ulthera and had Buffalo contouring while here (since they live outside Seoul), and
Because the effect of facial ultrasound contouring was so good,
Some patients went on to have Buffalo contouring as well :)
For those who are not familiar with buffalo hump, I will attach the link to my previous post below!
Everything About Mushroom Neck Syndrome / Buffalo Hump / Nape Callus (Surgical Treatment)#MushroomNeck #BuffaloHump #NapeCallus #DowagersHump #dowagerhump #BuffaloContouring Hello. I'm Dr. Cho Young-min....Doctor's ColumnFor those who desperately want it removed,
I would like to share the before-and-after photos together.

The angle is slightly different, but
You will see at a glance that the lump is gone.
As in the photo on the left, the design is varied according to the size and thickness of the buffalo hump before the treatment, and
The treatment is performed through an incision of about 1cm at the heart-marked area in the photo on the right.
Scars do not form easily, but even if a mark is occasionally left,
Since it is an area covered by clothing, it rarely becomes a real concern.

Even when viewed from the opposite side, you can see the smoother back line.
On top of that, that photo shows the result 2 weeks after the treatment, and
After that, it continues to improve gradually over the next year.

This time, these are photos taken on the day, right after the treatment. (Before on the left, After on the right)
Since the area is filled with water and broken down with ultrasound,
A considerable amount of water goes into the buffalo hump. (about 300-500ml)
Some water may drain out during the treatment, but
The water that went into the tissue is fully drained after 18-24 hours.
Therefore, an enormous amount of fatty tissue and fibrotic tissue
You can consider it removed.
You can see the bulging hump has disappeared as if cut away with a knife, right? ^^
As I mentioned above, the full (100%) effect has not appeared yet, and
The volume is enlarged because it contains water.
including the fact that it keeps improving gradually for up to 1 year after the treatment,
Please keep this in mind!
I am sharing a short video of the melted fatty tissue and fibrous tissue coming out during the treatment.
