Why I Opened a Dermatology Clinic in Gangnam

It has been almost half a year since we opened, and

Thankfully, many people have come to #CheongdamANZ, and

and receiving so much love.

From when I was preparing to open, no, from when opening a clinic was still only a vague idea,

the thoughts I've had in my head

Today I'd like to try sharing it.

Today's topic is..!

When people say #GangnamDermatology or #CheongdamDermatology,

Somehow, like a certain Dr. O

Supercar flexing, expensive watches.. Michelin stars.. and so on

that kind of image will probably come to mind.

Of course, honestly, there are parts of that I envy, and

If I were born again, I'd like to enjoy my youth a bit more stylishly, too..!

Since I tend to feel a little uncomfortable with glamour and being in the spotlight,

Given my personality.. this life doesn't seem to suit me.

If you're a dermatologist who has opened a clinic or has prepared to,

To reliably earn a lot of money,

Opening a clinic right in the middle of Apgujeong and Cheongdam

unless you are someone who is already famous from TV or YouTube,

that it is not a good option

you probably know well.

(The gap between the image people see and reality is truly big..)

The structure that is currently good for generating profit is

focusing on low-priced products,

increase the number of patients (n),

by hiring large numbers of inexperienced aesthetic doctors as deputy directors,

they run it like a factory.

Even within the same Gangnam area,

located near Gangnam Station and Sinsa Station

At countless clinics,

doing marketing that often involves 'dumping' with steep discounts like this,

they often generate high profits.

(#FactoryStyleDermatology I'm against it..)

But even though I know about such high-profit models,

As for why I didn't set up my clinic that way,

I don't want my profession as a doctor to be merely a tool for making money.

or you want lifting because aging has set in,

Whether you have a lot of melasma and spots and want to improve pigmentation,

or you are troubled by a skin condition and want relief,

fully empathizing with and understanding the concerns and discomforts you have in your current condition,

In the course of treatment,

I believe the doctor and the patient (client) must walk hand in hand.

Because the road ahead is not always a bed of roses,

we have to join forces to bring about the best results, and

To do that,

hearts have to go both ways, but

If during the consultation you only meet the doctor briefly within 5 minutes, or not at all,

it is no different from an auto repair shop rather than a clinic, and

would be a technician, not a doctor.

To do that, if too many people come to visit,

is simply not possible.

Because nobody likes waiting.

So we operate by appointment as much as possible, and

even to those who visit on the same day,

I ask for your understanding and adjust things so you have as little inconvenience as possible.

Since you are all busy and yet took the time to visit us,

During your appointment time with me, I want to give you my time completely.

In our examination rooms,

Instead of 'Examination Room,' that kind of lettering is written.

They are French street names.

Those of you who have been there may have noticed, but

Both are names of luxury shopping streets in Paris where Hermès stores are located.

They say a craftsman invests a full 48 hours to make a single Hermès Birkin bag.

like a craftsman who makes a luxury piece stitch by stitch with fine care,

I want to turn your skin into a luxury masterpiece.

Because luxury goods don't come out of a factory.

So that we never lose this original resolve for as long as we live,

we put it up in place of the words "examination room."

Since my days as an employed doctor,

As I tried to see patients with the same mindset as above as much as possible,

Thankfully,

I didn't even spread the word that I was opening.. and yet, those who come to find me

include so many of my existing patients..^^

so that we may always repay the hearts of those who come to see us,

we promise to do our best :)
