Hello. This is Dr. Cho Young-min!

Lately, between performing procedures, raising my child, and filming after being invited to appear on TV,

I have been spending busy days.

Today, based on a story I actually heard from a patient,

I am going to write this post.

I had 600 shots of Thermage under sedation — were they all really delivered?

Ulthera tends to cause somewhat more swelling than Thermage, so

Even if you have the procedure under sedation,

you can trust that the procedure was done when you see the swollen face, and

when necessary, by checking the log stored in the Ulthera device,

you can check whether all the promised shots were delivered.

you can find it by searching for terms like ‘Ulthera log’ or ‘Ulthera black box’, and

you can check at the clinic where you had the procedure.

B.u.t

Thermage has no record like that.

So when the patient is not sedated, they can see the shots as they are being delivered, and

if you count them one by one (...?) you can tell... but

If you have the procedure under sedation,

whether all 600 shots have gone in right now

whether only 300 shots went in

Since there is no way to check, you have no choice but to believe whatever the clinic tells you.

Actually, to a patient who had of course been booked for 600 shots, I

I had been performing the procedure assuming it was only natural to deliver all 600 shots, but

At a certain factory-style clinic where there are so many patients that procedures must be rushed to start the next one
(or at a famous clinic that advertises its large number of cases)

that they simply end the procedure with 100-200 shots left over

I heard an absolutely outrageous rumor......
(by an employee of the clinic in question)

Ah, so that's how they finish the procedure quickly and

so that's how they can move on to the next procedure..

I see, that's how they can do it at such a low price..

They say the leftover expensive tips are simply thrown away........

I even begrudge the shots wasted on warm-up, so

I study and agonize over how to make every single shot go into the skin, yet

I was lying around on a rainy weekend.. and shook off my laziness to get up and write this post :)...Doctor's Column

It seems not everyone is like me T_T

In any case, when you are sedated, whether the full number of Thermage shots was delivered

It is true that there is no way to verify it, and

Since there is an unfortunate part that has to be left to the clinic's conscience alone,

After research to put our patients more at ease on this point!

At our Cheongdam ANZ Dermatology Clinic, before and after a Thermage procedure

we keep a photo of the screen as a record.

It started at 11:09, and all 600 shots were delivered by 11:38.

It started at 12:22 and finished at 12:55.

This morning (4/13) alone, there were 2 cases :)

It's not like we just started this today....

We have been doing this for a while (you can see the date, March 2, right~?)

The blurred paper is the chart of the patient who had the procedure.

At ANZ, a 600-shot session takes about 30-40 minutes, and

900 shots take about 45-50 minutes,

You can figure on about 15-20 minutes for 300 shots.

If you look at the after screen like this,

since you can confirm that all 600 shots were delivered,

I think you will be able to feel more at ease.

But there are also cases to the contrary.

All 600 shots were delivered.. but it took far too long.

I have talked before about what you must check when undergoing sedation.

What You Must Check When Having a Procedure Under Sleep Anesthesia at a Dermatology Clinic (feat. Ulthera, Thermage)#Dermatology #SleepAnesthesia #DermatologySleepAnesthesia #UltheraSleep #UltheraSleepAnesthesia #ThermageSleep #UltheraThermageSleep #SleepUlthera ...Doctor's Column

Everyone,

You had 600 shots of Thermage, but

If the sedation time alone is 2 hours

You should be suspicious.

that a single doctor can do in a day

The number of shots for Ulthera and Thermage is predetermined.

taking advantage of the time when you are under anesthesia

Please don't forget that your doctor may step out to do another procedure and then come back.

At Cheongdam ANZ Dermatology Clinic, which values your time,

Absurd things like the above do not happen.

Delivering all 600 shots of a 600-shot treatment is only common sense,

Since your time is a promise between you and your doctor,

it is right to give that time entirely to that patient.

(I don't even know why I have to talk about something so obvious... T_T)

For those who want to have their procedure with peace of mind

Come to ANZ :)

Let me say it once more,

Because your time is precious..!!
