The biggest advantage, I'd say, is

I think it is a sense of responsibility.

Normally, if a clinic has two doctors,

Often a clinic is made up of 1 Medical Director + 1 employed doctor.

Since it is, after all, the Medical Director's own clinic,

When a client ends up dissatisfied,

An employed doctor is, in a way, affiliated with the clinic, but
